With just one more leg to be played, the last four standing - Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid - are sharpening their knives to make one final assault towards securing a 'Finals' ticket.
Spain has, yet again, proven their dominance in European football, both at club and national level, as they have two Spanish teams in the semis and will likely produce the team that will win this year's cup.
On paper only Atletico Madrid is 90 mins away from reaching the finals but face very strong opposition when they travel to Munich for the second leg of the fixture. A draw or an away goal, with out conceding more than 2 goals, will see them clinch the finals ticket.
On the other hand, Man City's failure to secure a win on home soil, could end their 'first time semis appearance' as they go Madrid for the next showdown. Real Madrid are already favourites to scale through to as they are a much better side. Man City would need maximum concentration as their advantage lies in a win or worse case 1 - 1 draw.
PREDICTIONS
+ Real Madrid will advance to the final.
+ Bayern/Atletico is dicey. If Atletico can withstand Bayern's onslaught, they progress. Recalling how they fared against Real Madrid's assault in 2014, when they lost in the finals, it is likely they would crumble yet again when faced with more fire power from the likes of Lewandowski, Muller, Robben, Ribery etc. I tip Bayern to come out.
