A 9 Foot Alligator seen with Human Body in its mouth

On Tuesday, June 7, a 9 foot Alligator was captured and killed when it was discovered that it had a human body in its mouth. [The image is not based on this story. It is purely for length comparison]

An eye witness called 911 to report that he had seen what appeared to be a dead body in the lake and the Alligator was trying to pull it under water. The Florida police arrived at the scene and were able to retrieve the body. It had some missing parts and the body was a bit decomposed. Alligator contractors were dispatched to catch the creature. It was captured on Tuesday night and its stomach contents were examined.

The body of the deceased is a white male and an autopsy has been carried out to determine the likely cause of death. About a month will pass before the results are out.
