Just as predicted in the post, "WHO WILL PROGRESS TO UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS", R. Madrid joins Atletico in the UEFA final.
Their 2nd-leg game against Man City was similar to the first in the sense that no team actually scored the other. However, a Man City own goal (OG) from Fernando was what separated both teams. Man City equally lacked the drive to make a difference as they fell short in many areas of the pitch. The likes of Aguero, Yaya Toure and De Bruyne were not so effective and there was hardly any bite in attack. Their 0 shots on target says it all.
As for the finals it will be an all Spanish affair just as it happened 2 years ago, involving same teams, in which R. Madrid won the title by defeating Atletico 4 - 1. Sergio Ramos was the saviour for Madrid as he scored a very late equaliser to keep the title race hopes alive and moments into extra time, the goals kept pouring as their opponents had lost the strength to fight on. This final will be the 3rd consecutive, in the last 3 years, that will involve at least 1 Spanish team.
History is likely to repeat itself as R Madrid look to win the title back to back and make it their 11th win.
